The dial is a stunning dove grey with stainless steel Roman numerals and accents. The reserve meter is not only a beautiful touch, but makes for an extra helpful touch to such an elegant timepiece. If you are not daily-ing the watch, the power reserve helps to remind you to wind the case up even on days you aren’t wearing the watch… though that might be tough considering how mesmerizing the Open Heart complication is.
 
Perhaps one of the most exciting features of haute horology these days is studying the movement; being able to marvel at the watch’s ticking action from the dial is a special treat.
 
With a 45mm case diameter and 14mm height, the El Primero Chronomaster Grande XXT favors a larger wrist, but it’s not terribly imposing. The stainless case maintains a fair bit of lightness and doesn’t feel unwieldy to someone who is used to 44mm case sizes.
 
This particular watch received a full service in October of 2021 and is ready to perform for many years. The kit includes the box, extra links, and manuals, but no OEM guarantee card.
